President Demirtaş said, “We want to globalize the Aegean in gastronomy. There are Chinese and Italian restaurants worldwide, why wouldn’t there be an Aegean restaurant as well? We come from Central Asia. We brought along a rich variety of values and tastes of a culinary culture stretching from Europe to Middle East, to Asia until we settled in Anatolia. These all combine and form our exquisite culinary culture. IUE Department of Culinary Arts and Management Team will represent our country in the best possible way in Tunisia.”
President Demirtaş reported that herbs and sea food came into mind when talked about Izmir cuisine, and they planned to share this culture with other countries.
